Hear the munch of a giraffe's snack, feel the cool splash of a stingray, and listen to the chatter of penguins and puffins. This is your day to explore the Zoo in new and exciting ways!

"See Like Me" is a special day at the Saint Louis Zoo celebrating the many unique ways species experience sight—and how animals rely on other senses, too. Guests can explore tactile and sensory activities, enjoy behind-the-scenes animal experiences, and connect with local resources that support the blind, visually impaired, and deaf communities. Throughout the day, visit our Community Resource Fair in The Living World building, featuring organizations that serve and empower those who are blind or visually impaired.

Special Behind-the-Scenes Experiences - If you are blind or visually impaired, we encourage you to register for this event to enjoy all three behind-the-scenes experiences with our Zoo staff:

· Experience 1: Giraffe Feeding at Red Rocks

· Experience 2: Penguin & Puffin Coast

· Experience 3: Stingrays at Caribbean Cove

If you need transportation to the Zoo for this event, please contact your Sight Collective participating organization to learn about options.

Special Note on Service Animals: Service dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities are always welcome at the Zoo. Service animals are permitted, except in the Cypress Swamp (1904 Flight Cage) and the Bird House. Please be aware that giraffes can sometimes be skittish around dogs since they are a prey species. If you bring a service dog, you are welcome to visit the Red Rocks area; however, for safety reasons, you will not be able to participate in the giraffe feeding portion of the event.
