The Sight Collective

“See Like Me” is a day to educate all Zoo guests on the unique ways species “see” & how vision and senses differ among animals. We will incorporate tactile & sensory experiences & activities. There will also be a resource fair located in The Living World with representatives from organizations servicing the blind, visually impaired & deaf communities.

It’s free to attend the Zoo & participate in the community resource fair. If you’re blind or visually impaired & want to enjoy the special sensory experiences with Zoo staff, we strongly encourage you to register. Space is limited in several Zoo areas for these activities. To provide the best sensory experience for our blind guests, we have set a registration limit. We will try to match your first animal experience preference, but we can't guarantee it. Event registration is specifically for the person who is visually impaired. If you bring an Aide, they will be your 'plus one.' Please note: service animals cannot accompany guests to the giraffe feeding. Thank you for understanding.

If you need transportation to the Zoo, please contact your Sight Collective participating organization for transportation options to the event.
